Description

The Ferrofish SFP MM (MADI Multimode Module) is an optical expansion module designed to upgrade compatible Ferrofish devices, such as the PULSE16 and VERTO MX with MADI I/O over multimode fiber, adding powerful digital audio routing capabilities to your setup. Installed via the unit's integrated SFP port, the SFP MM transforms a standard PULSE16 into a PULSE16 MX, enabling the use of 64 input and 64 output MADI channels over optical fiber.

This module is based on the multimode standard and includes an LC-to-SC cable, along with an unlock code (provided upon registration of the device's serial number). A key note is that multimode and singlemode standards are not compatible, and only Ferrofish-certified modules should be used to ensure proper operation and warranty coverage.

Once installed, the SFP MM allows all 16 analog inputs and outputs to be routed through both MADI and ADAT, supporting sample rates up to 192 kHz. It also enables advanced routing and conversion, including 32 channels of ADAT I/O interfaced with MADI, making the SFP MM a valuable upgrade for hybrid analog/digital workflows in professional studios and live environments.
