The End-Zone delivers unsurpassed acoustical performance that will last for years in the most abusive environments. Primacoustic End-Zone scores big against bad sound!
The Primacoustic End-Zone is a purpose-built acoustic panel developed specifically to address the problems associated with sound abatement in gymnasiums, hockey arenas and other spaces where damage from balls, hockey pucks or other projectiles is likely to occur.
The design begins with a full size 2" thick (5cm) Broadway high-density 6lb glass wool panel measuring 24" x 48" (60cm x 120cm). Unlike porous hardboard panels that are frequency band-limited, the Broadway delivers full broadband absorption from 200Hz and up. Each panel is 100% encapsulated with micromesh and edges are resin treated to retain the minute fibers during handling. The panel is then covered in a choice of black, beige or grey polyester tweed fabric carefully selected to integrate with most architectural demands. This durable coat is easy to clean and will last years without fading.
To protect the panel from damage, the End-Zone features a heavy 12 gauge (2mm) galvanized steel grid cage that fully surrounds the acoustic panel to shield it from projectiles. This ensures the panel will be protected from damage and lengthen its lifespan. Installation is made easy with pre-attached mounting hardware. The End-Zone steel grid comes standard in a natural galvanized finish and may be special ordered in choice of black or white enamel.
As with all Broadway panels, the End-Zone has been tested following ASTM-E84 and Can/UL S102 requirements for class-A flame and smoke spread. This makes The End-Zone perfectly suitable for installations in public spaces such as school gymnasiums, municipal halls, community centers and arenas.
The End-Zone is a protective steel cage that is designed to surround a Broadway Broadband 2-inch thick acoustical panel (sold separately). The 18 gauge steel cage comes standard in a galvanized finish and can be special ordered in choice of black or white powder coat with an additional charge. Packed six units per box.
Mounting is done by screwing the four nylon retention D-clips onto the wall surface to secure the cage in place and then sliding the Broadway panel into position. This makes installation easy and practical for all types of wall surfaces. To address safety concerns, Broadway panels have been tested to meet stringent Class-A / Class-1 fire ratings making them suitable for use in residential, commercial and industrial spaces.
