Description

The Neve Elements 88R Dynamics brings the powerful dynamics processing of the flagship Neve 88R analogue console into a standalone, eight-channel rackmount unit. Featuring authentic Neve VCA circuitry, it combines compression, limiting, gating and expansion to provide precise control over dynamic range while retaining the character of genuine analogue processing.

Each channel offers a comprehensive set of dynamics controls, including adjustable compressor ratios and thresholds, selectable attack speeds, release times and make-up gain. The gate and expander section provides additional control over unwanted noise and dynamic behaviour, making the 88R Dynamics a versatile choice for recording, mixing and multichannel processing applications.

As part of the Neve Elements range, the 88R Dynamics combines physical analogue circuitry with software-based control. The Element Control Plugin provides access to hardware settings directly from a DAW, with session recall and automation support. The processor also operates independently of a Neve console and can integrate with existing analogue consoles, audio interfaces and patch bays. Its compact 2U design delivers eight channels of authentic 88R dynamics processing without occupying an entire console.

Caractéristiques

Authentic Neve 88R Dynamics Circuitry
Based on the dynamics architecture of the flagship Neve 88R console, delivering genuine analogue VCA processing rather than software emulation.

Eight Channels of Analogue Processing
Eight channels of dynamics processing in a compact rackmount format, suitable for multichannel recording and mixing workflows.

Compressor and Limiter
Adjustable compression ratios ranging from gentle dynamic control to limiting, allowing precise management of signal levels.

Gate and Expander
Integrated gating and expansion functions provide control over low-level signals and unwanted noise.

Selectable Attack Speeds
Fast attack switching on both the compressor and gate/expander sections provides flexibility when controlling transients and dynamic behaviour.

Adjustable Release Times
Independent release controls for compression and gating/expansion allow the dynamics response to be tailored to the source material.

Manual and Automatic Make-Up Gain
Adjustable post-compression gain or automatic make-up gain compensates for level changes caused by compression.

External Sidechain Key Input
Dedicated sidechain key connections support external signal triggering for dynamics processing.

DAW Plugin Control
The Element Control Plugin provides graphical control of the analogue hardware directly from a compatible DAW.

Session Recall and Automation
Processor settings can be recalled with DAW sessions, while automation enables changes to the analogue hardware during production.

Neve Elements App Control
Access processor settings through the Neve Elements App without relying exclusively on the DAW plugin.

Intelligent Insert Matrix
Insert send and return connections with digitally controlled insert positioning allow existing outboard equipment to be integrated into the signal path.

Flexible Channel Grouping
Group processors of the same type and switch between single, multiple and grouped views for efficient multichannel control.

Snapshots and Undo History
Stored snapshots and a 64-step undo system make it easier to revisit settings and recover previous configurations.

Standalone Operation and Console Integration
Works independently with existing studio equipment and supports integration with the Neve 8424E console for control from its surface.
