This professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone features Austrian Audio's CKR12 capsule, an evolution of the legendary CK12 brass capsule design also used in the flagship OC818. Combining traditional capsule engineering with modern ceramic technology, the OC616 produces a clear, open, and detailed sound with impressive depth and presence. Austrian Audio's Open Acoustic Technology minimizes internal reflections and acoustic interference, allowing vocals, instruments, and other sound sources to be captured with remarkable accuracy and realism.

Designed to adapt to a wide range of recording situations, the OC616 features five selectable polar patterns, including omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, and figure-eight.
