Le système d’extension pour carte PCIe ultraplate à un emplacement Thunderbolt Echo Express SEL offre une solution compacte pour connecter une carte PCIe ultraplate compatible à des ordinateurs Mac, Windows et Linux dotés de la connectivité Thunderbolt. Son emplacement PCIe 3.1 x8 prend en charge une carte simple largeur, demi-longueur, mesurant jusqu’à 6,6 pouces, pour des applications comme la mise en réseau haute vitesse, la capture et le traitement vidéo, la connectivité de stockage Fibre Channel, SAS et SATA, ainsi que le contrôle RAID.

Conçu pour les environnements de bureau où l’espace et le bruit sont importants, le boîtier robuste en aluminium utilise un ventilateur à vitesse variable à contrôle thermique pour maintenir la carte installée au frais tout en assurant un fonctionnement silencieux. Les deux ports Thunderbolt permettent la connexion à l’ordinateur hôte et le chaînage avec un périphérique Thunderbolt supplémentaire, tandis que le port secondaire peut fournir jusqu’à 15 W aux appareils compatibles alimentés par bus. Le contrôle automatique de l’alimentation allume et éteint le système avec l’ordinateur connecté.
